The Bichon Frise breed originates from France. This small dog breed has a shoulder height of around 9 - 11 inches. The Bichon Frise has a double coat consisting of a soft dense innercoat and coarse curly outer coat. The Bichon Frise is always eager to play and makes a responsive and affectionate pet. Although this dog barks a lot, it is friendly toward other dogs, children, and strangers.

Grooming your Bichon Frise requires a fair amount of effort. The coat should be brushed every two days and trimmed every two months. The Bichon Frise is a very active dog and will therefore require regular exercise every day. Short walks on the leash combined with regular playtimes will keep meet its needs.
